The walk begins with the Casina delle Palme, one of the most majestic examples of the Art Nouveau style in Trapani, built in 1922; Palazzo Cavarretta which stands on the site where the ancient “Loggia dei Pisani” insisted; Porta Oscura and the ancient astronomical clock, one of the oldest in Europe, characterized by 2 quadrants (Sun quadrant and Moon quadrant); the walls of Tramontana, where enjoy a breathtaking landscape; Corso Vittorio Emanuele, with the Cathedral (Church of San Lorenzo), the College Church and the Purgatory Church, guardian of the 20 statues of the "Misteri". These statues represent passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and come from Spanish domination. Walking in the heart of the city you can savour the essence of the old town, ancient but still alive, able to unleash your senses.
